Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the SuriBill mobile application, website at suribill.com, and related services (collectively, the "Service") operated by SuriBill ("we," "us," or "our"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to use the Service. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

2. The Service

SuriBill helps users upload and analyze Philippine utility bills by extracting structured data, displaying summaries, and providing comparative diagnostics. The Service is for informational and personal analysis purposes only.

SuriBill is not:

• A payment or billing platform for utilities
• A substitute for official statements from your distribution utility
• Financial, legal, or regulatory advice

3. Account registration

You may use certain features as a guest or by creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly at support@suribill.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

4. Your content

You retain ownership of bills and other content you upload ("User Content"). By uploading User Content, you grant us a limited license to host, process, parse, display, and analyze it solely to operate and improve the Service, including generating anonymized aggregate statistics as described in our Privacy Policy.

You represent that:

• You have the right to upload the User Content you provide
• Your User Content does not violate any law or third-party rights
• Uploaded bills relate to accounts you own or are authorized to manage

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for unlawful, fraudulent, or abusive purposes
• Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or disrupt the Service
• Upload malware, spam, or content you do not have rights to share
• Misrepresent parsed data as an official utility record or payment instruction
• Circumvent access controls, rate limits, or security measures

6. Accuracy and disclaimers

Bill parsing involves automated extraction and AI normalization. While we strive for accuracy, parsed results may contain errors, omissions, or misclassifications — especially for low-quality photos or unsupported bill formats. Always refer to your original utility statement for official amounts, due dates, and payment instructions.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

7. Subscriptions and fees

Certain features may be offered under free or paid plans. If paid plans are introduced, pricing, billing cycles, and cancellation terms will be disclosed in the app and/or at purchase. Fees are non-refundable except where required by applicable law or stated otherwise at purchase.

8. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time and may delete your data through in-app controls where available. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the Service. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

9. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SURIBILL AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS (USD $100), EXCEPT WHERE LIABILITY CANNOT BE LIMITED UNDER APPLICABLE LAW.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless SuriBill from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your User Content, or your violation of these Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Davao City, Philippines, unless mandatory consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction provide otherwise.

12. Changes

We may modify these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
